Christmas In July Retreat

COST: $280 (Accommodation and some meals extra).

This will be a true 4.5-star pampering weekend away from it all! Come and join us for 3 amazing days in the beautiful Adelaide Hills where we will be creating very beautiful Christmas themed projects using all Stampin'Up! products. The whole kit will be provided and full instructions and assistance will be given throughout the 3 days.
Come join me in the beautiful Adelaide Hills for a wonderful ‘Christmassy ’Crafty Weekend where you can experience some focused time away from it all and learn some fabulous craft techniques using stamps, ink paper and other fun mediums. You will receive a Goody Bag with all the projects kits, a Stamp Set & coordinating Dies, embellishments and full instructions to create CARDS, HOME DECORE & 3D PROJECTS. I will be there to help with any questions or techniques too!
There will be no set agenda so you can craft and create your projects at your own pace. This way, you will have time to relax, learn and have fun while creating beautiful designed projects in your own time.
You will be given a project booklet with all the set projects and full instructions to keep. There will also be video tutorials recorded on a private Facebook page for you to access during and after the event.
Your fabulous weekend begins on Friday whatever time you can arrive. Craft room opens at 10am. Morning tea will be served at 10.30am (it can be put aside for you if need be) with setting up your own table and unpacking all your goodies from your Goodie Bag. Everything you need will be in there. You can explore the Resort Park by taking a leisurely walk around the grounds, sit and relax with a cup of tea or get started on your projects. There will be samples on display so you can see what the completed project will look like.
There will be internet access so you can also log into our private Facebook group to watch the tutorial videos.
This is a perfect opportunity to build up your Christmas card stash ready for December and gain some fresh new ideas using fun and creative techniques in a relaxing environment among friends. You can choose to make as much or as little as you want. Everything you need will be in your kits so you can finish at home if you wish.
We will be using brand new products from the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. It will truly be just like Christmas, but a little early!
Those who know me, know that I LOVE to spoil you and try to make your weekend as special as possible. My Christmas Elves will have prizes, pillow gifts, games and other sweet surprises for you throughout the weekend.
Keep in mind that July in the Adelaide Hills can be cold! So, remember to pack layers to keep warm. The craft room will be warm and comfortable as will your cabins with air conditioning and electric heated beds!
Please feel free to bring along any other projects you wish to work on.
The food is delicious, the setting is beautiful, the accommodation lovely and the time away precious!

You will need to bring:
- Your own tool kit supplies
- Acrylic blocks for stamping
- Ink pads (I will let you know what colours - & I will bring some to use too)
- Paper piercer tool
- Craft mat (I will supply a paper mat)
- Wet ones
- Water bottle
- Snacks (but probably won’t need them!)
- Any other items you like to use
- Money for Saturday & Sunday breakfast (or BYO) & Friday & Saturday dinners
- Your favourite adhesives - Dimensionals, double side tape & liquid glue
- Container to hold/protect your completed items
The units & cottages are walking distance away from the craft room, they have been renovated and have comfortable heated beds, a kitchenette, kettle, microwave, fridge, lounge area, TV and fabulous showers!
There are lots of different units and cabins to choose from, I recommend the two-bedroom units. Each room has a queen size bed and split system air conditioner. They are $175/night twin share.
There are also two-bedroom units – 1 queen and 2 singles - $175/night. You can even go for a larger cottage if you have a bigger group. All bookings must go through the resort directly, a deposit for the first night is due on booking. I can help pair you up if required.

Due to the time, effort, personal details, planning and investment put into this intimate event far in advance for everyone attending, all deposits and payments are 100% non-refundable. In the unlikely event the retreat is cancelled by the attendee or organiser due to illness or COVID restrictions you will have an option to attend a rescheduled event or have your Goodie bag and gifts sent to you to create at home.
There is also an option for you to transfer your spot to another if you can find someone.
Cancellations of accommodation is between you and the Resort…keeping in mind, you will need to settle the fees with your cabin buddy (unless you can find someone to take your place in the cabin, out of fairness and consideration, you will be required to still honour your share of the fee).
The Maples Shop will have some essential items you might need – extra adhesives, cardstock, embellishments.
To cut costs, it’s BYO breakfasts or you can join me for a cooked breakfast at the Bistro – located a few steps away from the conference room.
Friday & Saturday evening meal – a la carte at the Bistro, 7pm (you may choose to go home at this time and return in the morning, but we will be having catch up/free time in the craft room after diner.)
Accommodation – you have a choice of a queen size bed in a cottage to yourself, a shared room or a two-bed room cottage that can sleep up to three peeps. There are also other cottages that can sleep larger numbers. (see me for prices) Please take some time to work out what style cabin you would like and let me know so I can have it put aside for you. (I can try to match you up if you wish to share accommodation.)
Don’t live too far away? You are also welcome to just stay at home and come every day.
